Greenhouse gases from garbage, mainly from biological wastes lying open in the atmosphere
We are all talking about greenhouse gases these days; gases from industries of all kind, mainly. Apart from that there is burning of fossil fuel. What are these gases who are responsible for global warming? These are mainly water vapour, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and ozone. Being in power industries I face lot of questions with heavy word like 'sustainability', 'total emission', 'carbon credit', etc. When we build a reservoir people talk about formation of greenhouse gases due to submergence of vegetation. Yes these can produce more greenhouse gases than a thermal power plant. But the question is 'why concentrate in ocean not the drops'? Have we ever calculated greenhouse gases produced from the dumped garbage laying open in the atmosphere? Dibyendu Dhara
